Just as the deer pants for streams of water (Psalm 42:1), so our souls long for God amid the trials and struggles of life. God gives us the strength to patiently endure persecution and to remain faithful to the true teaching of God's Word. He does so through the eternal message of God's Word itself, both Law and Gospel. This is our great heritage as Lutheran Christians!
