Today we celebrate our relationship to the Holy Trinity, established in Jesus. The words “trinity” and “triune” are not mentioned specifically in the Bible, but we see the Trinity taught there. We see the Holy Trinity active in creation. We see the Holy Trinity active in the worship life of the church, too. And, we see the Holy Trinity revealed in the words of Jesus’ Great Commission, recorded in our Gospel lesson from the ending of Matthew.
